In 1961 Chevrolet had lost all vestiage of fins. The new design featured a sculpted side with clean lines from front to rear. The front featured quad headlights with a mesh grille contoured inward toward the bottom. A smaller grille with rectangular inlets that housed the parking lights was situated just beneath the hood. The Corvair for 1961 essentially remained the same as the 1960 models. A station wagon model was introduced.
